Hello, I am Ramona Jackson. I am Kourtnee's housekeeper/cook and LaDawnya's Nanny. I have been with the Adam's Family (no relation to the TV Show) since 1956. I was the nanny for Kourtnee and her younger siblings.

I know the family very well, so I can give you the inside scoop on almost everything that is going on in the family and their friends.

I thought I would give you the scoop on this site and some questions you may have.

Here are some questions that I have been asked about this site and the people, places, and ideas from deartra.

Why is the name of the family, Adams?
The name of the family is Adams because Adam was the first man created and this is the first family that deartra has created. Deartra does not compare herself to God in anyway, she just thought the imagery of the names was appropriate.

Why is the name of the city that the story is based in named Dorinda?
Deartra is a big fan of Evg. Dorinda Clark-Cole of the Clark Sisters. She just wanted to give a little shout out to Evg. Cole. Deartra often uses the names of people she knows or admires in her writings. For example, the capital of Maddocha is Hardaway. Can you guess who? (It's not Tim.)

What's up with the name Maddocha?
It's a play on words. It really means Mad at Cha.

Why is Kourtnee's last name Adams and her mother's last name is Shields?
I thought I had better address this question. Kourtnee's full name is Kourtnee Deshay Adams-Shields. When she was born, her grandfather, Themophilis Adams, saw her and knew that she would be destined for greatness. He wanted Kourtnee to carry the Adams name. He talked to Kourtnee's mother and father to see if they would make Adams part of her name. They agreed. When Themophilis would introduce Kourtnee to people, he would call her Kourtnee Adams. After awhile, everyone started calling her Kourtnee Adams. It caused a fuss at first with Kourtnee's father, but he stopped fussing with time.

Why in the world did deartra write all of this?
Deartra has to much free time on her hands.  Plus she needs help.  (SMILE).  Not really, Deartra loves to write and she had to do something with all the thoughts that were in her head, so this is it.
