My story, "Living in the Shadow" is all about my life after I am adopted by a wealthy lady, Kourtnee Adams, in my home town of Dorinda. The lady that adopts me is from one of the richest African-American families in Maddocha. Kourtnee is very well known as a business woman, as a philanthropist, and as a singer.
I am use to being the center of attention. When I was at the Madkinia Orphanage, I was always getting attention because of my academic, sports, artistic, and musical achievements. After I enter Kourtnee's World, I get lost in the background of all her achievements.
"Living in the Shadow" tells of my life and times as I try to overcome living in Kourtnee's shadow. This story is typical of anyone who has ever lived in someone shadow.
